Welcome Horse Enthusiasts

Too many people today get in over their heads with horses. The joy they seek in riding is overshadowed by bossy, pushy, ill-tempered horses. The fearlessness that many of us had as kids is gone and the grown up reality of horse ownership can be a tough pill to swallow.

The antidote? A trusted mentor and experienced guide to help support you and your horse through this transition. Don’t give up hope if you’ve hit a “stumbling block” or “growth block.” It happens, believe me I know. The main thing to remember is you’re not alone and I’m here to help.

What is our mission? Read on to find out. . .

I help people form a strong bond between horse and rider. Passion for riding and a deep love of horses is the driving force behind Easton Horsemanship. The Easton Horsemanship program is one that approaches horses with kindness and respect. Together we create a horse/human relationship established on trust and leadership.

A recipe for success.

Riding and working with horses through feel is the ultimate goal. With kindness, respect and compassion at it’s base, my program works to keep a horse calm and in a learning frame of mind. Maximizing a horse and rider’s potential.

I am thrilled to share my accumulated knowledge and love of horses with other passionate souls. Those of which are interested in more than buckles and trophies. A heart based person driven by a calling to delve deep beyond the norm of what is out there.

I find great joy in helping others push to become their own best. I share in the satisfaction of seeing months of hard work finally pay off. On top of that, I love to see the changes in a horse as they learn to let down and truly accept direction.

The journey is long and the challenge great. The rewards though, are well worth the effort.

Let’s do this together! I would love nothing more than to help you succeed.

Testimonials

"A few years back I was having some trouble with my off track thoroughbred checking out, leaning on the bit, and basically blowing me off.  Being off the track, Louie knew nothing but to lean on the rider and use his body to go fast, real fast.  On my own I had made a great deal of progress in the few years we had been together but then, we hit a plateau.  Enter Eric.

Eric's thoughtful and methodical approach to horsemanship allowed for real, substantial change to our partnership.  After only a few sessions, I learned how to improve my timing and release, not to mention tools to make the right thing easy and the hard thing, well, hard.  Eric's guidance, knowledge, and calm demeanor allowed Louie and I to build on a fairly solid foundation to go on and accomplish goals I had only dreamed of.
Whether you are new to horses or a seasoned competitor, there simply is no one like Eric to help build a connection, increase intuition, and improve performance that truly puts the horse first."

“After just a few sessions with Eric I was able to load my new horse onto the trailer with no fuss all by myself. When I first tried trailer loading it was 45 minutes of pulling and trying to just get her in so we could get her home. Eric does an amazing job walking the owner through the process so I could keep working with her on my own. Can’t say just how happy I am to be working with him. I’m excited to see how both my horse and I will grow under his teaching.”
